WRITING INSTRUCTION
Building skills within the six traits of writing: Ideas and Content (clarity and details: making a topic clear and manageable and supporting it with details in an interesting, fresh manner), Sentence fluency (variety in sentences, natural word order), Word choice (use of good word choice), Voice (expression of emotions, opinions, and personality), and Conventions (editing/revising: correct punctuation, spelling, and grammar).
For students struggling with handwriting, a specialized handwriting program: Handwriting Without Tears may be utilized.
