Vanessa Southard
Biography
I am originally from New Jersey. My family relocated to Tucson, Arizona when I was in high school. From the time I was a teenager, I loved working with children. Upon graduating high school, I began the journey of a lifetime by pursuing a career in education. This journey has taken me through working at preschools, running my own home day care, substitute teaching, teaching in the public-school arena both in the classroom and in an on-line classroom, and now running my own business offering tutoring services in reading, writing, and math for students that need an extra boost.
My husband, five children, and I live in Tucson, Arizona. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to school our children at home during their lower elementary school years. In my spare time, I enjoy swimming, hiking, reading, decorating cakes, and working on jigsaw puzzles.
